I was talking about boilers the other day on here, I've done a deal with someone to change my boiler, getting a Viessman hydrogen compatible, we've had the current boiler around 10 years, and when we bought it never took out any insurance cover etc. but put a monthly wedge into what we called a boiler fund, the existing boiler has been serviced regularly and I've taken the radiators off a few times to purge the shit out of them, we did buy a new timer for the boiler but other than that haven't had to spend any dough on it, our boiler fund has accumulated enough to pay for the new boiler, installation, power clean and with £1200 extra left over in the fund to start the next fund. Insurance for boilers is a mugs game (generally). F Boris and his heat pumps.
