Thread: Reading points deduction

    Reading points deduction

Agreed at an initial 6 points with a further 6 suspended. We will need to comply with an EFL business plan for the rest of the season and next season to avoid the further deduction.
Frankly relieved. It puts us back to 16 points with a bit of a gap over the bottom three. However our business plan will mean quality players like Swift and Laurent will leave for nothing this summer as we won’t be able to offer them competitive new deals.

You should be fine then, still have a decent first 11 if fit, including super Junior Hoilett

Could have been a lot worse and the business plan seems like a sensible idea, as running a wage bill over 200% of income for more than one season is just insane.

Insane is the right word and frankly shambolic. We have co-operated with the EFL unlike Derby and their dubious accounts. So this gives the club a chance to get to back on an even keel.

    yeah I think Derby t
pissed off the EFL by withholding their accounts until after Wycombe had already gone down, so thy're being especially harsh on them
