    In addition we slashed our wage bill this season and have to slash it again by another £5 million next season or face another six point deduction. That makes it impossible to retain our best players.

    The six point loss could matter a big deal at the end of the season.
    I don't disagree that Leicester and QPR to name just two got away lightly but the penalty structure should be set and non-negotiable based on the size of the financial breach. It should not be possible to negotiate a lower points penalty.

    Isn’t it better for the EFL to work with clubs to get them back in the right direction? That’s what is happening here. We have to work with a severely restricted budget this season and next but that will get our accounts to a better place.
    If we fail to do that we will be punished again.
