Most of these listed aren't cult films in my eyes.

What qualifies them as a cult film to you?

Well from my point of view they were never felt to be a great film when they were made or very good films but not generally watched or very influential

    That type of thing

Texas Chainsaw Massacre attracted people because they thought it would be gory but it wasn't, over the years its been seen as a film with deep psychological trauma , especially the mental torture of the girl

Paths Of Glory , if made today would be lauded as one of the best anti war films ever made , which it is

But it's swept aside by apocalypse now etc

Did you ever see the little known 70s Roman Polanski film the Tenant Jon? Utterly strange and spooky and well worth a view.

Yes - watched it many years ago. Ticks all the boxes for a cult film.

Just had a look on Wiki and it says The Tenant was the last of a Polanski trilogy - following Repulsion and Rosemary's Baby!

3 of my favourite films there, particularly Withnail & I.
Anyone seen Pootytang? I'm not sure if it is terrible or genius.

A popular cult movie seems to be "Oldboy", I've not seen it yet.

    Great film 300 Spartans.

Got quite upset at the ending as a small kid.

I was an emotional mess after Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid too.
