It’s a great way to see a taster of a new place. By far the worse part of a cruise is being with the entitled Brits on board with that look of superiority, particularly over the hard working staff. People you would avoid at all cost in normal life.

I was talking to this bloke who said he’d been to Vietnam and he rattled off Ho Ch Minh City, Da Nang and Halong Bay as places he liked. I asked him about HCMCity and the places he liked/disliked. He said he had three days on his cruise there.

I pressed him about his experience and he admitted he hadn’t got off the boat. Spent three fkg days on his arse drinking beer and pointing at the locals.
