It's funny, all of those half arsed Cup performances down the years which drove me mad, but, this time, I find myself thinking let's give a few kids a game (Patten, Bagan at centreback, Zimba etc) and see how they go.

The club has turned it into a non event. 2008 seems a life time ago.

More games in Rd 2 tomorrow/Monday including two that will produce guaranteed non league teams in Rd 3.
Swindon away, Bristol Rovers away or Argyle away would be good.
Failing that something 'easy' at home BUT the club to take it seriously and try and build up some confidence.
Alternatively Liverpool or Man Utd home or away or something like that
I bet it will be something dire like Hull City or Sheffield United away

Swindon away in mid 90s in the cup was uhhhhmmm... interesting for older lads. Particularly after the game.
