I agree about Britpop and more recent 'indie' music.

But some 'indie' bands Have made some of the loudest and rawest sounds.

The Jesus and Mary Chain, My Bloody Valentine and The Wedding Present spring to mind. Magnificent.

Britpop etc... Pile of nonsense. Including oasis. Rubbish

Guitar heavy stuff crosses genres

You fail to be a poncey indie band if you are pushing out distorted noise

But if you are moaning about life wearing a velvet jacket and a floppy haircut and reading the NME get out of my house
