It would be a bit creepy

And I think that's why so called alternative comedy works

It's sort of taking it to the bad man
Funny you ask as the BBC have just announced this pilot https://www.chortle.co.uk/news/2021/...omedy_show?rss

Tony Law is usually good value but the involvement of Andrew Doyle is a bit of a red flag that this may end up being as funny as standing on a plug with socks on.

All that said though, other than the odd Rachel Parris bit there wasn't a huge amount about the Mash Report to write home about either.

I find most tory comedians are like the Alan Partridge character

That's him. He does a good job on that, but haven't heard anything else he's done.

Joe Rogan: Podcast is staying on Spotify says boss - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-60286699

It's certainly gaining traction. Maybe for the best, but who gets to decide?

I might have missed the point you're trying to make but I'm not sure if a podcast staying on Spotify is a great example of cancel culture.

20 seconds in and Neil Young has been called a "cuck" and someone says "if you want America, listen to Springsteen"; the famously anti-patriotic singer/songwriter.

Please tell me - why would anyone over the age of 12 want to listen beyond that point?

    The blurb underneath the video:

"Flagrant 2 is a comedy podcast that delivers unfiltered, unapologetic, and unruly hot takes directly to your dome piece. In an era dictated by political correctness, hosts Andrew Schulz and Akaash Singh, along with AlexxMedia and Mark Gagnon, could care less about sensitivities. If it’s funny and flagrant it flies. If you are sensitive this podcast is not for you. But if you miss the days of comedians actually being funny instead of preaching to a quire then welcome to The Flagrancy."

FAO Tito (Since I cocked up the quote functionality)

    Maybe a bit of context?
You might dig what they discuss after. You might not.

I'm interested in your thoughts on Joe Rogan and cancel culture in general as you made the effort to click on a video I posted.

I made the incredible effort to move the cursor over your link and click my mouse as I was interested in finding out who Andrew Schulz was.

That interest faded in but a moment.

There is a lot of stuff out there to see, so I can understand your brevity, but do you often form your opinion about people and subjects after 20 seconds of consideration?

Vodka taken off shelves and swan lake cancelled.

Not saying it isn't the right thing to do, but I'm just reiterating, it exists.

I'm not saying I don't get the thinking behind it but changing the name to Chicken Kiyv sounds like something from Brass Eye

What are they calling it now? Rat Kiev?

Just another thing that is totally stupid: I like german food and shop quite often in Walley's Deli in the Royal arcade. for years I have loved Zeguener schnitzel, having been introduced to it in Germany over 50 years ago. It is a pork dish with a traditional sauce made up of sweet peppers and stuff, and has always been called Zegeuner sauce, which in english is Gypsy.
2 weeks ago I was looking for it and was directed to an identical jar which said 'Paprika sauce'.
I pointed out that I didn't want paprika and was told its the same sauce and there is no paprika in it but they had to stop calling it zegeuner because it was deemed it may be insulting to gypsies.
    That is just plain stupid!
this time I'll and really leave!!

Thank God for the reverse of the rebrand.....Red Army, Red Army, Red Army would be an extremely inappropriate chant at the moment.

(disclaimer), I know that would never had been sung by anyone on this board

Yep and it’s often these very same people who want to cancel the tv license. So it’s cancel culture when it suits.
