Cardiff recall Ryan Wintle from Blackpool

One Ryan out one Ryan in

Just about to post the same.

I like him from what I've seen of him at Blackpool, hopefully he fits in with what we want to do.

    Release Ryan!

    Get him in the team

Unless Morison is able to put a rocket up Murphy's arse, we are absolutely lacking any flair going forward now that Giles has gone.
Wintle may be decent but is essentially defensive midfield.

having a stable double pivot in central midfield should let us play 2 attacking midfielders behind Moore, and still have the 2 wing backs overlapping to stretch the defence

Agree. We are seriously lacking wide creativity and it might be our only hope getting JM back (can't believe I'm saying this).

Wintle playing just in front of a back four (which i reckon would suit NG better than a five) which would mean we would have to have Pack as the playmaker in the middle and get Murphy playing off the shoulder.
That would also mean the other midfielders having to work extremely hard to accommodate this "luxury".

Unless of course Morison has another card up his sleeve

Morison seems to favour 352, but I agree Ng not suited to wide role. Neither would Murphy, as he does not do defensive side of game.
IMO we need 2 full backs who can play in that formation.

I saw that Man Utd had taken Ethan Laird back from Swansea and given him to Bournemouth as well. Lots of movement going on

Exactly what we need though, someone more solid in the middle can allow others to give us more going forward. We certainly need more width though.

Murphy is injured. He's played 70 minutes all season. He won't be back.

The Swansea way not good enough for them? Surely not...

Blackpool fans, well the ones on their forum, seemed impressed with him and are sorry to lose him. Bringing a well thought of player in from a side eight places above us has to be a plus............hasn’t it?

If that's the case he will be back at City.
Non playing though, not that it makes any difference if he plays or not.

Depends on the terms on the loan agreement

Wasn’t it usually the case that an injured loan player was sent back to his parent club regardless?

Depends on the loan agreement presumably, and how long the injury is

You don't need them if you play Colwill behind the striker 3412.. 3 cb..2wb..2cm..1 cam..2 strikers.
Or go 3421 with 1 striker and 2 of davies/Colwill/Evans/Harris behind the striker
