Police in Cardiff have been given extra powers to stop and search anyone in the city centre after a number of violent incidents.

OH, haven't seen any reports of them. The timing and duration of the order suggests they have int on something specific. Personally I've never seen much violent behaviour in the centre against folks going about their ordinary business so can we assume it is a certain sector of the population?

In terms of news reports and anecdotally there has been a notable uptick in violence and a slowly growing gang problem in certain parts of the city.

Brilliant news , think our families should be safe in our city , think its better to supress any potential rise in those crimes before they get out of hand , if you don't just look and consider the impact that London's has seen with recent knife crime ,as an example.
