    Re: RIP Meatloaf

One of a few really big music acts that had me asking what’s all of the fuss about? I’ve not got a single Meatloaf track on any of my playlists, never bought a Meatloaf vinyl record, cassette or CD either, but, rather like Queen, I suspect it’s me who has got things wrong, because I barely came across anyone else in the late 70s/early 80s who didn’t like Bat out of Hell.

    RIP

Never really a fan of Meatloaf, but saw him live with my Wife (who’s a Meatloaf fan), at the CIA about 10 years ago. He was phenomenal! RIP Meatloaf

In my mind, he will be forever Eddie, the delivery boy.
'When Eddie said he didn't love his teddy, you knew he was a no-good kid'.
    Hot patootie, bless my soul!

There was a question on 6 music's Facebook page earlier along the same lines - which of these artists would you prefer to see live?
I mean I'm not particularly a fan of Ed Shearan, Harry Styles, Dua Lipa or the other pictured, but I wouldn't want any of them to pass away because of it 🙂

Nothing at all to do with the fact he was in his 70s, recovering from back surgery, overweight and vulnerable.

Save your digs at people who choose not to have the vaccine for another thread. Yes, I have had personally had the vaccines.

Well yeah those are obviously factors hut it's a fact that the vaccine drastically reduces deaths and he'd probably still be here if he had them.

    Re: RIP Meatloaf

Its not just Covid like all early deaths they are hugely effected by your lifestyle, he could have died of flu , heart attack , cancer, as he was over weight, ageing , unfit etc etc .

If he had looked after himself he may be still alive .

    RIP

Met him years ago we were playing softball with Paul Gambaccini. He's invited some musos. Think Tony Levin was there too.
