Funnily enough, he is the type of manager to turn to in order to avoid relegation in this division....

most of our current problems are down to him ultimately, bringing him back isn't going to help us in the long run, best case it is just kicking the can a bit further down the road

It would probably work as we can't do anything but say you can't spend any sort of substantial funds definitely wouldn't want him allowed to spend any more than a million on a player ever again, without it being for someone blindingly obviously universally agreed talent. Oh my god the money he put down on what has been absolute dross.

Taff’s Well friendly and see if they’ve got anyone decent over thirty to offer a 5 year contract to perhaps.

Re: According to the Sun, Warnock's coming back

I agree the issues we have now are partly due to him. However I would feel more confident of us staying up with him until the end of the season. If it was to happen needs to happen before the end of the window to allow him to get some loans in.

Re: According to the Sun, Warnock's coming back

The board gave SM the contract and should allow him to strengthen within reason. If Moore goes for instance, he should be allowed some of those funds to replace him.

Ultimately though he needs results or I wouldn't be surprised if the board did get twitchy.
It's ok that we pass the ball around more but its getting to the stage where only the results matter.

If he is unable to get results soon I wouldn't be surprised to see someone experienced come in. It should absolutely only be to the end of the season though, based on that we may find no one suitable would be interested anyway.

He's a better option than Morison until the end of the season.

He did it at Rotherham... came in for 16 games. Saved them and then left.

Re: According to the Sun, Warnock's coming back

I'd welcome him back with open arms love the mans enthusiasm , loved that promotion season ,loved the fact he nearly keto us us with a rag tag squad ,love the fact he engages with the community.

We will never be a top end passing side we are what we are a tough big hitting championship side which is what Warnock , Mick bring to the party .

Id have him as DOE with Morison as coach and him learning from NW the nuisances of the murky world of footy

Exactly, we cannot get relegated. We'd lose so much revenue, we'd struggle to come back or even survive as a club.

I *think* we would lose a further 5m a year revenue + whatever loss from reduced crowds (at least that was the case a few seasons ago)

While not being good, that isn't as big a disaster for us as the parachute payments ending. And with all of the high earners out of contract we should be reasonably well placed to adapt.

I'd obviously prefer we stayed up, but warnock is not the solution.
We were crap at the end of his time here and that was with a squad with a lot more money invested in it.

I don't read the articles and just go straight for the BTL comments. My favourite today is 'Get Ramsey in on loan. He needs the game time'.

EDIT: For Mr P - BTL = Below The Line
