00s Darcy Blake and Jason Byrne. Do I get an extra point for being there? Blake was very good that night.

Darcy Blake - he could have been a contender, to quote a film from before I was born that hardly anyone one under the age of about forty these days has heard of.

Indeed. To carry that quote on - He coulda been somebody, instead of a bum, which is what he is, let's face it.

Seems like such a waste. Good first start at West Brom, composed and assured in central midfield that night. Played the 90 minutes and never looked out of place, similar to Nathan Blake's debut at Bristol Rovers nearly 20 years earlier that got brought up on here recently. Still only 34, I wonder how he feels about it all now.

I looked him up after your message and was surprised to discover how young he is, it really brings home your point about waste of talent - he was finished basically a decade ago.
