We rarely win in London, and with Morison just getting his contract a defeat looms.

Didn’t realise that David Marshall was now in goal for them, hope we give him a decent reception. Great servant of our club.

6-1 Vaulks screamer to cheer everyone up (if they hadn't already left in despair).

But will he rest players for more winnable games after QPR?

    Match facts

    • QPR have won their last four league matches against Cardiff City and are looking to win five in a row for the first time.
    • Cardiff have lost 15 of their last 19 away league matches against Queens Park Rangers (W3 D1), losing their last four games in a row.
    • Since losing back-to-back home league matches against Stoke and Bournemouth in December, QPR have gone unbeaten at home, winning three and drawing three.
    • Cardiff have lost four of their last six away league games (W1 D1), as many defeats as in their previous 14 on the road.
    • Andre Gray has scored five Championship goals for QPR this season, however all five have come away from home (the best 100% such ratio in the division this term).

Everything points to a QPR win. I'm not optimistic but they haven't been in great form lately, so who knows.

First 15 minutes are going to be vital. We mustn't allow them to set the tempo and get into their stride early.

You know how it is with the City though, when you're not expecting much, they turn around and surprise you.

    QPR 3 - City 1

Since we beat them in the 2003 playoff final, we've got a worse points per game average against 4 other sides than them in the Championship. We've won 6, drawn 5 and lost 14 of the 25 games we've played since then. Our record at Loftus Road is particularly grim, winning 2, drawing 1 and losing 9 since 2003 and winning only 8 of the 39 games we've played there.

However, we've never gone 6 without a win at Loftus road in this division before. We're currently on a run of 1 draw and 4 defeats in our last 5.

Our worst run in all competitions was 7 defeats on the trot between 1972-1990 as part of a run of 10 defeats in 11 there. During those 11 games we managed a 1-0 win in November 1970 and scored in a defeat earlier that year, but lost 9 of those 10 without scoring. We would win there in 1999 in the League cup and again in 2002 by a resounding 4-0 scoreline (our biggest ever win there). Since then, defeats have become the norm.

Vaulks in for Doyle (who’s not in the squad) Colwill for Davies.

Guess Boyle injured and got runs!
    Interesting that Colwill starting.
Hope he does better than last game he played.

And no Harris. Fingers crossed neither are injured.

Bit of a negative midfield. If Doyle is ill/injured/being rested I'd have liked to see a straight swap with Colwill with Hugill +1 in front of him.
