If you could go back in time and see bands which ones would they be ?

The Beatles, The Kinks, The Beach Boys, 10cc, The Doors, Love……so many aren’t there.

Ditto The Beatles, The Beach Boys and Love.

Seen the original line-up of 10cc numerous times and The Kinks once but would have preferred to have seen them in the mid 60's not the late 70's.

Ditto my wife with Elvis, though I can't stand him.
Sweet had a huge 'live' following - they were much better than their singles.

For me it would be The Doors, Hendrix, Yardbirds, The Who and Led Zep in their prime

I've seen The Who, original line up, Led Zep, original line up and the Yardbirds, only one original member. The Doors and Hendrix can go on the list of bands I would have loved to have seen.

However as I've got older and my music tastes have widened, I'd would also have loved to have seen alot of Motown artists.
Trouble is if I was younger I probably wouldn't have chosen to watch lots of different genres.

For me Sounds Incorporated, who used to back Brenda Lee in concert, also later Bobby Patrick Big Six (bet no-one has heard of them!) All terrific saxaphones.

I've heard of Bobby Patrick - they were a 'Pool group.
I also saw Sounds Inc backing Gene Vincent and Brenda Lee. Vincent had the best act I've ever seen. He was mesmerising and hypnotic.

Don’t think any Motown greats have been mentioned yet. Seen most of them but would love to see the 60s versions of The Four Tops, The Temptations, Smokey Robinson (a wonderful artiste) & The Miracles, Martha Reeves & The Vandellas, The Supremes. Aretha Franklin would be someone to see also.

Saw most of the Motown greats mentioned in a package show that included Stevie Wonder in 1965. The gig was only three-quarters full and they had to pad out the bill with Georgie Fame

I went to a couple in the Capitol in the late 60s/early 70s, excellent value for the acts on show, as you say they were ‘package’ tours.

I heard lots of bands playing in the Capitol when I was working next door in the Lexington kitchen. The only band I ever saw inside the Capitol was Led Zeppelin. Have a distant memory of a daytime festival in the grounds of the castle. Was it 10cc?

10cc, Thin Lizzy, Steeleye Span, Man. Got soaked through. My Blue and Brown leather jacket left an imprint on my skin! 1974?

I would love to go back and see Bowie in the Colston Hall in Bristol during his Ziggy Stardust period. We did plan on going, but for some reason we never made it. Money probably. We were still in school.
