They would have been the only 2 on the pitch on what it meant to win this game from a derby perspective.
Still pissed off and had a rubbish sleep because of it
The problem with playing Isaak Davies is we haven’t got a midfielder to bring the best out in him. Ideally playing him on Cabango’s shoulder with Steve McPhail or Jordan Mutch slideruling passes beyond the defender would have been a wonderful tactic yesterday. Unfortunately we’ve not got a midfielder anywhere near the class of the two I’ve mentioned, a situation that we’ve had a good while to address to no avail. Whether Colwill can fill this void remains to be seen but perhaps he plays a bit too far forward. Frustrating that successive managers have ignored this vital position. Pace is everything and Davies has bundles of it but we can’t rely on him scoring the type of goal he scored against QPR the other week, where he made it from deep himself, very often.
We hear a lot on here about Bowen filling the creative midfield void but the management seem to be of the opinion that this type of player isn’t required
