That’s why, the inevitable embarrassing derby performance. *****
The crowd on Saturday was announced as 27,280. Back in January 2020, the crowd for the 0-0 draw was announced as 28,529. In November 2013 (in the Premier League), it was 27,463.
So what's the story with the eTicketing? People seemed to believe the crowd was going to be 30,000+ based on that, but it was well short of that mark.
With segregation and away fans restricted to 2000 it was never going to be 30k plus.
E ticketing were clearly releasing blocks in the Upper Ninian in stages so it looked like limited availability. Some seats in the middle were out due to the large flag across the seats.
People were seeing greyed out areas when in fact some seats had never been released.
That was a great attendance with the pressure on spend we all feel today.
No matter what the league position was.
We are told there’s more people with covid than ever.
Jacks have been able to bring more in the past too and let’s not forget those that have passed away too.
Just seemed that our club had forgotten its role in all this.
