    it is something that happens in netball, a player can play at any standard, but as soon as then play 8 X 1/4's at a certain standard ( lets say L2 ) then they cant play below that, so players can still develop by playing at a higher level, it works well
    In fairness to Des I think he was referring to registration of football players not netball players.

    Yep, but with some sense from the football authorities it could be done, you would be tied to the LOW team when registered, but if you break into the 1st team, you play a certain amount of minutes and you are tied to the 1st team and cant play for the LOW one, would work for U23 and players returning back from long term injuries
