Thread: End of season form

    End of season form

In this season of records, we've never lost our last 6 games of the season. Only one manager in our entire history has lost 5 of the last 6 games of the season twice. Any ideas?

After picking up 10 points out of 12 in March we've been woeful. A comeback win at struggling Reading has been the only high point. If we were to lose our last two games, we'd have 3 points from our last 8 games. Only once in our history have we won less points than that from our last 8 games. Bonus point for the season in question.

Defensively we've been tight enough. In attack, 3 goals from our last 6 games is concerning. If we fail to score in our last 2 games we'll have had our joint worst scoring record over the last 8 games in our history.

Oddly enough, dire end of season form and relegation don't particularly go hand in hand. More of our end of season capitulations have been when we've been mid table and nothing to play for.

2006/07 when we fell apart under Dave Jones is my guess.

Indeed. He's also the answer to the previous question.
