I’ve never agreed with one tram having an extra 30 mins on their own ground.
Surely the top dog can handle another 30 minutes?

They maybe can, but it’s never been fair since day 1 😁

If away goals still counted city would have been out on it.

Sterling and Grealish hopelessly over-rated by English media, nothing players at this level.

They were useless at the end, the 2 of them.

Bit unfair, what else were they supposed to do when there was no target man to aim for and 11 real players behind the ball

Give over. Sterling is like a headless chicken.
Grealish was about as useful as a handbrake on a canoe.

I’ve Never liked Grealish as he goes down to easily.
He’s a skilful player but seems really off the pace in a Man city shirt, I think he found his level with Villa.

Ref ****ed them over there. 3 mins injury time should have been at least 6.

At least Grealish gave it a go & was denied by a great save. Sterling was appalling, slow, clueless and badly let his team down.

By the way Steve McManaman is a shite pundit.

Not too keen on Liverpool, but i hope they stuff Madrid in the final.

Agree with you there, i only watched extra time but the referee seemed biased towards Madrid.

    Re: Man City

In U.S. the game was on one of the mainstream channels (rather than a dedicated sports channel) and I'd recorded it with an extra 30 minutes added on should it go to extra time / pens. Of course the recording ended with about 6 minutes of extra time still to play.

Having said that, once Madrid were in front the result was never going to change as City by then had completely 'lost it'.

two things struck me: Man City are world-beaters when they're on song and things going their way; but there's a fragility there that surfaces every now and again. Also, no-one seems to have said much about the penalty but it looked clear to me that the defender got to the ball first and didn't really take the man out. I've only seen it the once so I may be wrong, but with the score as it was and the game so important, I thought it was harsh if not wrong. Anyone see it differently?

A bit of a dilemma for me. I love the manager and their players but intensely dislike the club and their fans. On balance and mostly for Klopp's sake, I hope they win it.

Reflecting on the game last night. As good a manager and team Pep and Man City are, for some reason, they seem to play with a British mentality, of being naïve
Once Madrid got in front, they played all the old tricks in the game to break up play and scupper City’s momentum. City should have been doing the same after 80 mins of normal time.

I reckon they will blow the league now too, that must have destroyed them last night, no shots on target in 90 mins and two goals in stoppage time.

One point late on, a Man City player off the ground, studs up, over the top of the ball....."never a foul".
