    Adebayo Akinfenwa.. what a character

What a way to end your football career.
40 years old and your last game is at Wembley.
I know he played for them lot... But what a great story and .. how great are Wycombe!

His penalty miss at the Millenium was a great moment. Just when you think things couldnt get better up steps Tate.

Yes, six goals in nine games, back in 2003. Got released due to a financial meltdown.

One of the great characters of football to be fair. Hadn't realised he had still been playing. Looked out for him in Wycombes first few championship games last year and he didn't seem to be getting much game time . Surprised to see he ended up with 33 appearances last season and 32 this season. Great fitness for a 39 Yr old

Great story if he helps win them promotion, which I hope happens seeing as they were shafted last season.

You do wonder how his knees will cope though when he retires and let's himself go a bit!

Lovely touch for a big fella and no matter who it is who's marking him, he will know he's been in a game.
