Definitely sounds like Mahlon Romeo is joining
Millwall defender Mahlon Romeo has clinched a move to Cardiff City.
The 26-year-old is joining the Welsh club for an undisclosed fee.
Romeo made 41 appearances for Portsmouth last season after joining them on loan in September.
The right-back, who is also comfortable in a back five, will link up again with his former Lions team-mate Steve Morison, who has been in charge at Cardiff since replacing Mick McCarthy in October 2021.
Romeo played 221 matches for Millwall and was a shrewd free transfer pick up by Neil Harris in the 2015 close season following his release by Gillingham.

Maybe that is the end of Dramah speculation?
With the signing of 2 new wingers already, are we going to be playing 442 more often, with full backs rather than wing backs? That could see a move back to RB for Ng.
His dad is Jazzie B from Soul II Soul!
Hope this signing is a Club Classic...
I've heard a rumour that Mahlon Romeo is signing.
Unless Daley-Campbell is seen as a big project, I’d be amazed if Drameh was back here now. Shame!
Romeo did not have the best of times at Pompey, either. Fans said he was great until Jan and then was rubbish. Maybe his head was turned when we almost certainly tried to get him
So was Romeo the one that Harris tried to sign back in the day?
How I wish it was Jed Wallace
Portsmouth manager Danny Cowley on Mahlon Romeo:
"Mahlon had a brilliant start to the season, giving us real athleticism, pace, power and robustness. You only have to look at how few goals we conceded down the right-hand side of the pitch to know he did a really, really good job for us. He probably hasn’t quite found the same level of consistency in the second half of the season. Hayden Carter has come in and probably performed beyond all of our expectations. As a consequence, Mahlon hasn’t been able to find as much recent game time as he would have liked."
Apparently, Romeo started just one of Portsmouth's last eight League One matches. They finished 10th.
Always been impressed with Romeo it was a surprise he had dropped down to L1 last season.
Seems like be announced imminently.
I wouldn't read too much into what some Millwall fans say about him after this..

The away game against Millwall is going to be very difficult next season, especially for Romeo if he is playing. I cant see certain sections of the Millwall support taking very kindly to what he said when he left. Anyone who deliberately boos the taking of the knee should be immediately ejected from the stadium but I cant see that happening there. The impression I get about Millwall is that they say all the right things and have introduced off the field community initiatives but this sort of thing has been going on at their ground (and others they visit) amongst their fans for over 50 years and they have actually done very little to stop it. The fact that it is still being talked about and this type of thing happens is a damning indictment of their efforts to combat it.
I reckon the only question asked of potential signings is "are you up for proving some people wrong" "yes? You're in"
Romeo confirmed - don't rate him - there got in first
