Thread: Leeds done and dusted?

    Leeds done and dusted?

    2 games left - Brighton (h) and Brentford (a)

Burnley have Spurs (a), Villa (a) and Newcastle (h)

Everton have Brentford (h), Palace (h) and Arsenal (a)

Only once in PL history has a side conceded as many goals as Leeds have this season and stayed up.

Looks like the win over Chelsea has been absolutely crucial for Everton.

    Re: Leeds done and dusted?

Everton certainly safe now but could see Burnley losing all those games so just 1 point could be enough for Leeds?

Leeds have to beat Brighton else they go down I think

I’m really not fussed who goes down but it would be funny if it was Leeds for all their myopic fawning over their Lord God Bielsa.

    Utterly laughable.

    Dirty, Dirty, Leeds (reincarnated).

    Awful tackle by James

Calvin Phillips tried to cut Pulisic in half too.

I think Leeds might get 4pts, with Burnley getting 3pts.

If there's any chance of signing Cody Drameh, (which I very much doubt there is) come on Leeds, marching on together, Yorkshire Republican Army, and all that bollocks. Otherwise, see you next year, and thanks for the 6 points.

I took a bit of 3/1 on Burnley to be relegated last week. As part of the calculations, I had Leeds down as losing to Arsenal and Chelsea, with Burnley getting a draw at home to Villa. I still think Leeds will stay up as I can see them picking up 6pts from their last two games, although a Burnley win at Villa would change that.

I reckon they will get at least a point and that will be enough.

The tackles by Ayling and James in particular were shocking and they have let their club down big time.

I don't think Leeds will get another point it's hard to turn around free fall.

    I agree.

They looked absolutely awful last night.

    Re: Leeds done and dusted?

Most Leeds fans I know have accepted their fate and believe they are down.

    I don't disagree with them.

Leeds look very poor and you can see how frustrated the players are - a few awful red cards in the last two games.

I am not sure if Ted Lasso is suited to Championship Football so they may have another manager change as well.

Pity, I wanted Everton to come down as it would be great for the championship to have them here and a any chance we had of getting Cody back will disappear if Leeds come down. Shame.

    The downfall is complete.

Rather Burnley fall as they are the weaker of squads .

Leeds final two games are easier in my humble opinion, but one less game may hurt them .

Burnley have a tough e in Spurs (a), Villa (a) and Newcastle (h)

    Everton will survive now .

To be fair you are talking about a fan base that don't know much .

Was it that bad ? He got the ball cleanly but caught him on the follow through. Classed as 'dangerous' true, but I don't think there was intent.

Burnley definitely have the weaker squad now but I can see Leeds’ squad getting picked apart by mid table PL clubs whereas Burnley would probably manage to hold onto most of their players.

Just scored an equalizer in injury time.

They are in a much better position than they were before they scored!

There's been more twists to the saga than Chubby Checker.

    Re: Leeds done and dusted?

Wonder what Eddie Howe’s attitude will be like on the last day of the season going to Burnley, the club he could be said to have failed at, with the chance to send them down.? Reckon Leeds could get something at Brentford, while Villa away might be tough for Burnley.

Think Everton are probably okay now.

Theyve got that point. I think they will be safe now.
