I think that's right following the retained list.
Lots of work still to do or it'll be a difficult season.

At least another 8 required then, possibly as many as 10

    Gk we are sorted

one more CB, or try to manage until Morrison is back

    need a RB / RWB

    LB probably ok

    one more CM at least

someone to lead the line up front

I'm in no doubt that this squad could possibly get out of EFL League Two

    Re: Current squad

    Thanks Rjk.

Funny, looking at that squad, the area where we have the most players (attack) is probably our weakest area.

I think Collins may go, Harris and Watters bench players - although Harris has looked a bit more effective in a front three not an out-and-out striker, and as already been said, Zimba is on loan.

That leaves us very light up front with at least 2 players needed to come in - hopefully a loan and a permanent

We are also looking really weak down the right - RB, RWB and RW.

Even if Ralls signs we also need to improve the guile / creativity in the centre of the park (2 players?).

    Another CB would be good.

So in my estimation that leaves at least 8 to come in.

    Updated following latest moves.

Need at least one more CB, CM and to sort out the attack I think

    Re: Current squad

We need a couple of CMs. 1 maybe 2 cbs and a couple of strikers.

Yeah I would be very surprised if we don’t see at least 2 CBs, depending how keen he is on playing 3 at the back he may want 3 more.

Certainly at least 2 CMs or 3 if Ralls leaves.

    And 2 strikers

I can see us getting 1 CB and waiting for Morrison to come back maybe?
CMs I can't see us running with 6 in the squad, but you never know.
we need 1 or 2 strikers as a priority

that then leaves a CB and a CF and RW ?

2 CBs? Will McGuiness start or Ng start there? Perhaps another #10 on loan?

    Re: Current squad

Some loan deals from Premier League clubs starting to happen (Giles being one).

Hopefully we can see a few loan signings ourselves very soon. We are lacking midfield artistry (plenty of energy and industry) and goals with the current squad.

I assume the expected CB signing is a permanent deal - and not a youngster.

I wouldn't be disappointed if we don't bring in any loans this time, certainly not 5 like last year.

They can be a great resource, but you aren't investing anything in your own team by doing so. Fantastic if it keeps you up or gets you into a playoff spot, but if we're expecting a mid table season as I am, then what's the point?

If the lower league players we've signed prove they can cut it at this level then their values will all go up, if they're not getting game time because we are playing some premier league team's kids then they wont.

That said, I'd be happy with Hugill back on a loan.

    Really?

Not for me. He did alright and had some good games, but overall I wasn't too impressed.

I just think we had a bit more about us when he played, that's assuming we are still after a target man type striker

Welshlad seemed to think it was an experienced PL CB. Wonder who that is.

Hugill will be backing up Pukki at Norwich but I'd like to think we can do better. He started well but he's a bit of a carthorse.

Yeah I would be more than happy with Hugill, thought he did well for us and I think he would benefit from better restructure we should hopefully have next season.

    Re: Current squad

I reckon we’re still 5 short, especially if he follows last season’s model.
2 CB or 1 plus Morrison
    1 attacking CM
2 CF to replace Hugill & Ikpeazu. We haven’t replaced Moore & desperately need to do so.
