If he stops a gifted opposition player from scoring then some may think he is a good footballer, some may not, but who really cares?
Stopplng players isn't that difficult a thing to do, being creative is, in fact, i'd say that's the case with most things in life.Football is changing rapidly, and the days of defenders being content in getting their arse end of a cross or a pass with little else in between just isn't enough. Obviously, sometimes during a game those type of traits are needed, but it shouldn't be the default positions it was with Flint and co because they lacked any ability to be creative. We should demand a bit more than that in my opinion.
