The point in their last game gave them the upper hand going into the final day.

    Re: Todays football

Spurs will be interesting next season if Conte stays, Chelsea will be losing a few key players, and Man Utd will have a new manager.

Burnley have financial problems as well it seems,

5 seasons in the Premier League and apparently in financial difficulties….. I wonder why?

It makes you wonder if the Premier League is the money pit that people outside it appear to think ?

Didn’t their new owners borrow money against the club to buy it or something like that?

There is an incentive to remain on the treadmill, but the lower placed teams are basically cannon fodder.

I’ve just looked at their messageboard…. Not sure how that is a legal way of purchasing a football club.
Apparently they want £40m for Nick Pope

    Final day analysis:

    Man City did their bit
    Liverpool did their bit
    Leeds did their bit
    Burnley f*cked up

The Glazers did the exact same thing. Many American's get rich by spending other people's money

Burnley’s draw at the Villa gave them the upper hand. Unfortunately they couldn’t make it count today.

Yes, today the Premier League more than lived up to the hype, but year in, year out, it gets coverage that other leagues can only dream about and there have been seasons where Sky would have been trying to make us believe that it was so, so important whether Man United made into the Europa League or not because all of the important stuff had already been sorted out.

Also, since you mention League 2, just imagine what Sky would have made of what happened to Bristol Rovers and Northampton on the last day of the season if they gave that division the wall to wall attention they give to the Premier League.
