Whatever the reason it’s a sensible decision, a decision that’s rarely taken. Impatient fans trying to get in for kick off is very often a spark to set off unwanted incidents. If the match hasn’t even started it should diffuse that.

5live are saying ticketless, reports of police pepper spraying indiscriminately.
There was a half-cut scouser on 5live yesterday in Paris, saying the outer cordone of security was lax and he was going to bunk in. Presenter quickly moved him on lol
