    Christian Eriksen

Thanks goes out the window, Brentford gave him a chance, now he’s off in pursuit of the dollar.

Brentford did very well out of it

Dustin Johnson is worth close to £75 million. His reason for joining the Saudi golf league was something along the lines of 'financial security for his family'.

    He's sort of right though....

Or perhaps he's off in search of a greater challenge than trying to avoid relegation from the Premier League?

Eriksen is an exceptional footballer. He recently turned 30 years of age. He knows he's almost certainly in the latter stages of his career, particularly considering his health circumstances. His next move may well be his last, so who can blame him if he's setting his sights a little higher than a relegation battle with Brentford?

Almost as if he's realised that careers are short and can end at any point. There is absolutely nothing wrong with maximising his earnings. What connection do you expect he has to Brentford that means he owes them his charity?

The 6 month contract he had with Brentford was of mutual benefit to both parties. His efforts certainly helped Brentford maintain their Premier League status so he owes them nothing. Hard pill to swallow though for Bees fans. My grandson, who's a Bees season ticket holder will be very disappointed not to have him with them next season.

Rubbish. Eriksen could have gone to play for pretty much anyone outside of Italy. Brentford fans will be thankful they saw him for 5 months.

Good luck to him they needed him, he needed them at the time ,sounds like the perfect marriage of convenience.

Both parties were happy to sign a six-month contract. That contract has ended. Not complicated really.

    Re: Christian Eriksen

It's not like he rocked up there promising to play until he retired.

There was a mutual benefit here, one gets fit and the other with some help gets a shot at staying in the PL.

They both got something out of it and it was a short term deal

Why do people make issues out of nothing?
