    This was on Owen Money’s show last Saturday morning

    Chris Farlowe sung the song and someone called Mike, out of Manfred Mann wrote it

    I saw Chris Farlow sing Handbags and Gladrags when he was frontman for Colosseum at the Top Rank in 1970 or thereabouts. Great song and Chris Farlow had a great voice.

    Chris Farlowe my all time 60s hero.
    Met him a couple of times. Grumpy old git though.
    His original ‘Handbags and Gladrags’ far superior to any later version. Written by Mike D’abo.
    Farlowe is still gigging at the age of 80.
    Last I heard he was in Germany where he is popular.
