Surprised Rush and Procul Harem haven't been mentioned. A Whiter Shade of Pale must be a contender for the best track ever.

    ELO
    Peters & Lee
    Slade
    Simon & Garfunkel
    Queen
    Credence Clearwater Revival
    The Eagles
    Neil Diamond
    The Kinks
    Rainbow

On reflection, replace Peters & Lee with The Beatles.

"I've pierced my skin again lord. No one cares for me"

I was lucky enough to see them about 20 years ago. I was kind of worried about it. But Arthur did not disappoint. His voice was amazing.
