To be fair, I never saw or read anything from Bale himself, that even hinted at coming to Cardiff. He kept his cards close to his chest, and wouldn't be drawn on anything. All the Cardiff rumours were just that, coming from the press and online media, and we all got swept along with it. It's a shame, and it's disappointing, but you can't really blame the guy.
