Most exciting signing so far for me, my only slight concern is his age.

    Agree.

In new signing tradition I'm just putting this out there.

Just got a message back from a Baggies mate re this signing. Described him as " a good signing"...."very average"! A touch of the green eyed monster? Bound to be comparisons with Koumas. Let's hope he is as good and we have a season to remember for the right reasons.

This is a good signing boys

    Instrumental in West Brom’s promotion

Excellent passer, never gives the ball away

He’ll just pick it up from the centre backs and get us going

It’s hardly surprising that a West Brom fan would regard Sawyers as average. After all, they sent him out on loan last season and then released him.

He scored one goal in 64 appearances for the Baggies.

Best signing so far for me. Always rated him.

Great signing. Always wanted him a few years ago.

Agreed. This is good news. We needed this.

He needs some work on his Ayatollah though. It was a bit stiff, but early days and all that

Let's hope he has something to prove.

I think he’s passed the stage of having to prove himself at this level. He was a decent Championship player a few years ago, but he’ll be 31 in November. While he’s unlikely to improve any, I think he should prove a decent acquisition.

For me, the only real concern is that he started just 19 league games for a Stoke side that finished 14th last season. No idea if that was down to injury or a lack of form.

Il bit too bothered about his age, he’s hardly mid 30s. He will have legs and energy around him and hopefully can provide the much needed creativity and guile that this club has been lacking in midfield for a very, very long time.

    mooooore moooooore

This season feels like a game of Football manager when you shift out all the players at the start of a game

Romaine Sawyers, Andy Rinomhota, Ebou Adams, Ryan Wintle, and Joe Ralls - at long last our midfield has the look of a bit of energy and movement about it.

    Happy with this signing.

Exactly…with Ralls and Wintle it’s looking a bit lively for once
