Finally put out of his misery, that performance is not one for his best of compilation.
Didn't watch last night's game so can't comment on it, but when I used to watch him play as a fourteen and fifteen year old for the Academy, it was not uncommon to see him run fifty or sixty yards in possession and still be too quick for the opposition. Often when I see him play as a man, it seems he feels he's still that kid who loved dribbling with the ball - I don't think his "game intelligence" is the best.

When your game is pretty much all about pace and dribbling, you're never going to be effective against teams who play a low block. Especially when your team are slowing down posession and not looking to make quick transitions, as Rangers were doing last night.
Dan James had the exact same problem at United when teams would just sit deep.
Like James, he'll need to add more to his all round game or teams will find it easy to nullify him.
That's what makes players like Johnson and Brooks stand out, they have added intelligence to their game. Can we include Wilson too? The sign of a good player is making something happen when nothing is happening.
