    Also gave his name of some utterly dreadful 80s straight to video films presumably to pay the mortgage

    Was in various incarnations of Star Trek and was one of those actors who you’d see in two or three television productions a year.

    He was an excellent stage actor as well

    I always liked David Warner - especially the Peckinpah films. But I just looked on his Wiki page and couldn't believe the number of B (or C) movies and crap TV shows he was in. A good actor - but one who knew how to pay the rent!

    He described himself of a letterbox actor. If a script came through his letterbox he would do it
