The Canton end is bigger for a start, so if they swapped that would lead to less City fans being able to attend at a reasonable price. Also, on occasion, away teams bring extra support and people in the family stand have to be relocated. I cant imagine that going down well. Finally the ground was designed with a view to safety and segregation of fans. I don't understand why anyone would want to return to the days when foul and abusive language and various types of missile were regularly thrown back and forth between opposing fans who were next to each other.
