    USA Inflation 8.1% ... hold tight ..

    US inflation hit 8.2% last month vs an expectation of 8.1%. This raises the prospect of faster interest rate hikes

    If Britain, or any other country, calculated inflation as the US does then they would slash theirs by at least half too.

    Benefit claimants there are cheering because they will get a cost of living increase of 8% when they would need 17% to 18% rise to keep pace with their real inflation rate.
