I know I’m biased, but I thought theCabinet members sat next to Sunak should have thrown in the towel today to save him from further punishment. Starmer battered him notwith his (lefty) lawyer’s tricks, but with a pretty bland set of questions that thePM should have seen coming a mile off. That moment where he was reading his file was the icing on the cake. Trying to be neutral, Sunak’s going to have to do a lot better than that.
