I can associate with you. I was 12 when 1958 World Cup was on and Empire Games held in Cardiff. Coverage of WC was ok, mainly highlights on BBC. Quarterfinal against Brazil was heart breaking. We have always had the short end of the stick, let’s hope that is going to change. We deserve some good luck.

Watched it too many times already and like others it makes me very emotional. Wish my dad was still alive to watch the World Cup.

Very meaningful and emotional viewing. The two biggest historical trends for the different parts of Wales (Welsh language activism and the miners strike) for the last 50 years alongside our footballing heartache at Anfield, against Romania, and Russia. It’s all a part of us for better or worse. C’mon Cymru.
