Re: Which City players would get into the current Wales team

maybe Robinson or Wintle but that's stretching it

Wales looked poor, but against 3 very good teams.

Along similar lines, I was thinking Wales would be a top half Championship side, similar to Norwich.

England would just miss out on a Champions League place

We wouldnt be a top half championship side on the last 3 performances.

If you offered City Ward, Williams, Rodon, Mepham, Davies, Allen, Ramsey, Ampadu, Bale, James and Moore (last night’s starting line up), I’m sure they’d take all of them.

Re: Which City players would get into the current Wales team

Wintle or Ralls maybe in midfield? That's a stretch mind, most of the starting XI for Wales are top division players

Re: Which City players would get into the current Wales team

Kipre is miles better than Rodon.

Re: Which City players would get into the current Wales team

Robinson, Kipre, Ralls, Wintle, Jamilu Collins, Rinomhota and NG would all be in the squad.

I agree, with the addition of Mahlon Romeo

Ahead of who? He isn't better than Neco Williams or Connor Roberts

on the other hand, Chris Gunter went to a world cup whole playing for a poor league 2 side, I think it is not that controversial to say that Romeo could make the squad

In addition to 7 other players including 2 full backs?

Who are they in ahead of then? I can see a case for the midfielders but not for the defenders. Gunter aside I don't think we took a defender playing for a worse team than Cardiff.

we basically didn't take any specialist left backs, so there would have to be a case for Collins, and who wouldn't have taken Romeo ahead of Gunter

that would give us 4 full backs /wing backs of Williams, Roberts, Collins and Romeo. in a squad of 26 having 2 in each position is a must surely?

And where do the others listed fit in?

The Welsh coaches would probably argue that Davies counts as a full back as he can play there and centre back and that Rhys Norrington-Davies would have been in had he not been injured. I'm happy to accept that Collins gets in ahead of Gunter on ability and providing more balance, but Wales' defence is fairly decent
