Fantastic voice , effortless
And a very good guitarist
Saw him in the Capital Cardiff in the 70's
He was once asked
"what do the lyrics of American Pie actually mean?"
He replied
"They mean I don't really have to work anymore!"
Preferred Peter Glaze
I sawhim in in the Millennium Centre a few years ago.He was far more rockier than I thought he would be.Great band and a super duper show.
Slightly O/T... link this thread with Phil Lynott... (Sludge not included for at least 2 hours)
On the subject of Leslie Crowther, my sister worked in the New Theatre for a few years in the eighties and she said he was the nicest and most natural of the show business performers she came across - the biggest brat was Wayne Sleep and the man who played the vicar (Frank Williams?) was as camp in real life as he was in Dads Army.
Two hours Sludge, unlucky....
Never mind, come and see what you would've won....

Me too. Great concert as he had zero backing for the show
