In any other season that’s a hell of an away point.

A good point against a very useful Coventry side. Defence looked good. Midfield not so. Least said about attack the better.

Re: COVENTRY CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread

It seemed launching an attack didn’t even occur to them.

Re: COVENTRY CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread

Good point, we defended well and some good saves by Allsop, but our passing and ball retention was shocking in the second half and another game passes without us coming remotely close to scoring.

One more point than I'd expected. Not out of trouble by a long way though.

Positive post alert: We’ve gone up a place in the table lol.

Re: COVENTRY CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread

Not pretty but its an away point.

Coventry commentary team... "although Coventry will be disappointed with the draw you have to give credit to Cardiff.
A spirited backs to the wall second half performance".

Didnt like the look of our fixtures this time last week but we haven't got beat.

    That's something to build on.

Re: COVENTRY CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread

pathetic for a team facing a possible relegation battle... same can be said for cov a few points off a play off...

absolute rubbish by both teams, very poor

Re: COVENTRY CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread

Only watched the second half and that was a great point given the performance.

Attack was shit but much of that is because the midfield was so inept.

If we’re to stay up, prepare for more attritional football. It’s all about getting through this season unscathed, there’ll be no ‘Ole, Ole’ performances and I don’t mean that Norwegian fraudster.

Re: COVENTRY CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread

The lack of punch up front can only go on for so long before it affects the team's confidence as a whole. We can have poor performances in midfield and defence on occasions, and lose matches, but if we aren't capable of putting the ball into the other sides net, we're down. It's a shame - we just haven't got an attack good enough for the Championship and not even a couple of 'goalscoring' midfielders..

Re: COVENTRY CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread

To be fair you have to give credit to the midfield for our defensive efforts this season. Its not like we have a superb back 5.

The problem is the whole side just are not a good passing side who can create much

    We are a hard watch.

We are in a battle and today was a point won.

Someone said if it wasnt for finishing there is no one outside the top 3 or 4 better than us.

Thats rubbish. We are a bottom 6 squad and if we dont start converting chances and seeing off teams at home we will slip into the bottom 3.

The side have done their job tonight its a point won. Wont count for much if we dont see off Wigan at home though.

Re: COVENTRY CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread

that point could be what keeps us up

Most would have taken a point a the start of the day if we are honest

Is that Isaaks first game back ? ? ?

This is the team Morison built, it's 19th in the table and it's scored fewer goals than any other side in a piss-poor division.

He did a 'pretty great job'? Sure he did....

Very useful? They're 13th in a truly terrible Championship.

Hudson went there for a point for that reason he should be sacked immediately. When we brought Davis on you could see the coaching staff signalling 5 4 1. last 2 games we haven't had a shot. Crap

Unsurprisingly depressing, 2000 fans that travelled deserve medals or their heads checking.

Spot on. It was Coventry ffs, not Man City. We parked the bus against a bog standard mid-table side - all very well if there was any prospect of us winning our home games but we seem incapable of that.

To fail to have any sort of attempt on goal in the second half is embarrassing.
