Re: CARDIFF CITY v WIGAN ATHLETIC. Match thread

    Match Facts:

    • Following a 3-1 win over Wigan in October, Cardiff are looking to complete a league double over Wigan for just a second time, also doing so in 2014-15.
    • Wigan have lost just one of their last nine league visits to Cardiff (W3 D5), conceding just five times across this run.
    • No side has dropped more points from winning positions in the Championship this season than Wigan Athletic (17).
    • Cardiff are without a win in each of their last seven league games (D4 L3) - only Blackpool (9) are currently enduring a longer winless run in the Championship.
    • Wigan have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their last 13 league games, the current longest run without a shutout in the Championship.

I'm desperate for a City win but just dont see it today. Either a 1-1 or a 1-0 loss. Reckon Wigan will be more up for it.

Good news and bad news there Mike. Recent results not in our favour. Not sure why we tend to do so badly v Wigan. Hope that changes today

Wigan have conceded more goals than every club in top 4 divisions except Forest Green and Burton (49 & 50). If we can't score against them, then we are in deep poo (as if we aren't already).

Heart says City 2-0 history and brain says 0-2

Hope the heart wins out.......Rotherham 1 Blackburn 0 at the moment.
Blackburn not taken a single point from a game in which they've conceded the first goal in this season.

Not the team I’d have gone for, if he loses this he’s surely gone. Let’s hope some of those players repay his faith.

Cardiff City XI: Allsop; Ng, Nelson, Simpson, O’Dowda; Wintle, Ralls; Harris, Ojo, Philogene; Davies.

Subs: Alnwick, Sang, Kipre, Sawyers, Rinomhota, Robinson, Etete.

Almost what was asked for.....but Wintle and Ralls again who have no creativity....

Presumably Colwill is still ill then. Rinomhota, if fully fit, can feel hard done by after his performance against Leeds. Perhaps Hudson has one eye on the return fixture. I don't think it's much of surprise that Sang drops to the bench.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v WIGAN ATHLETIC. Match thread

No McGuinness, Cedric,Robinson not starting..We've got no fecking chance.
On top of that Rotherham winning.
Could be a very bad day.

He’s been out and about shopping so I assume not. Maybe injured or a growth spurt.

Perhaps he didn't pass his protocols after illness, despite being both in the building and on the grass!

Re: CARDIFF CITY v WIGAN ATHLETIC. Match thread

Kipré not 100%? Or Rinomhota (after last week's performance)? Otherwise that's weird?

I'm not sure what Hudson is doing at this stage.

I guess he feels some deserve it after the cup game? But then some don’t including the MOTM lol. It’s more than a little odd. This can’t backfire.

    Rotherham won, Huddersfield winning.

Two sides playing like they must not lose.
    Options on the bench though.
