Trust chair Keith Morgan has had discussions with the club today. He has been told the first installment of around €6m was paid this morning with a view to try and get the transfer embargoed lifted. The club is currently in discussion with the EFL and FIFA. 1/2

As I understand it, it was not mentioned at the meeting, but, clearly, there was something to the rumours we saw on Sunday. The notion that the club would announce the payment of the first installment at a meeting with fans days beforehand always struck me as very odd.

But also the notion that it would come out from someone who was at that meeting on the same day, knowing it would get leaked is also odd. It’s pathetic really, just treating the fans with contempt again. Communication at CCFC is horrific. Dalman is either massively out of the loop and therefore useless, or a liar

Sworn to secrecy and misleading their members are different matters. We had someone from the trust denying the rumours and claiming they were lies.

Financially speaking, I feel bad for the club because it’s not their fault, however we didn’t really have much of an option
