Exactly. West Brom up to 6th now. They were 23rd when he took over.
And Middlesbrough were 21st when Carrick took over - now 4th.
Not that either would probably touch us with a bargepole!

no matter whos available... no one will want to come here and rescue this mission with no money and freebie transfers no one else wants

more than likely stick with what they got now or appoint someone after the window closes...

Warnock wasn't cheap and he wasn't a puppet. He is a major reason why were are in this mess but Tan has appointed a manager who ran the club, we need to do it again. There are only 92 league clubs, we are still an attractive proposition.

Obviously it's Warnock. End of speculation.

Happily take Dean Smith or Chris Wilder although not sure they would want it.

They wouldn't have come near City anyway.

It's a basket case of a club ran by loopers who know diddley fuuck all about the sport or business of football.

Although all the recent managerial appointments are the cheapest, I'm convinced due to the hierarchy no prospective coach who got a basic knowledge of football would even touch City with a shiity stick.

Sean Morison we could have had as a cheap Player Manager!

They've not got a clue. I think Warnock is good value at 8s, given he'll know what he's walking into, and how to work Dalman.

Why don’t these clever, incredibly rich people never learn?
Football isn’t rocket science - they clearly don’t make such daft and repeated mistakes in their business lives lest they wouldn’t be successful.

    No chance.

"Come to our club. We have no money, a shit squad and most people in our boardroom wouldn't know football if somebody booted one square in their face. Fancy it?"

    Totally agree.

I started googling some of the other managers and seen they have clubs so that’s not going to happen.

Lee Bowyer was close at one time apparently, wonder if they may consider him for 6 months, hardly exciting choice.

Christ Hughton might be one who wants to get his foot in the door for 6 months but I don’t think he is what we need either.

Or, a manager could say, you've made a pigs ear of it, let me take control of it. I'm running the show.

This can't be a surprise to Tan, something has to give.

The thing is a decent manager would want a decent strategy so he could achieve something.

The club is directionless. Just going through the motions as cheaply as possible and hoping we retain our status as a Championship club. That will only end one way and any manager with genuine ambition would not come near the place if they had any other option elsewhere.

Anyone who comes here and keeps us up will do wonders for their own profile. There'll be plenty who'll jump at the chance.

You can see that happening with Vinny the Ego.

The bloke insisted on putting a dragon on the club badge ffs. Changed the club colour like he was putting a new lock of paint on a holiday home.

He isn't stepping aside to be told what to do by a manager.
He shows a distinct lack of trust for managers. If any decent amount is spent and they don't work out he sees it as a personal slight. He still drags up signings from years ago as some justification not to spend with managers today. He has big issues it seems.

    We shall see.

Have a look at the list of managers who have been installed since Tan has been here. 90% of the suggestions are sensible and suitable but sadly will never be considered by our board. They seem to do football business in a totally different place to the rest of clubs.

Smart money's on Dean Whitehead at 16/1 isn't it?

Yeah I get it, but a manager might see it as an option to boost their profile as well. If they say let me get a decent striker in on loan and keep us up. But then I’m one of them who don’t think the squad is that far off to be honest but just terribly managed.

    Re: Available Managers

    Not another english dinosaur please.

Not anyone from within the club on the cheap.

A good manager. Look in the Germany. Look in Croatia. The US . There is a world outside the championship merry-go-round.
