    Makes it look somewhat respectable

Re: LEEDS UNITED v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread

Fuming there was only 2 minutes added on just as we were making a comeback

I don't buy this argument at all, for starters Colwill gets plenty of criticism on here whilst others get away with a fair bit. Mark Harris is another Welsh academy product, he gets ripped apart regularly on here and on social media

Cardiff need a manager with a plan, yesterday.

Or a lot of new players.

    Really both.

What they might need is a wizard.

They are in an absolute mess

Now Robinson looks a player that is head and shoulders above most of this squad in a way I'm not sure Colwill does.

I wouldn't put Colwill anywhere near that level. He looks a way behind Robinson in terms of showing for and producing with regards to assist and goalscoring.

Although he's obviously limited, I thought Nelson did reasonably well this evening, but how bad is Simpson? Dear me.

You've got to be up for a challenge to want to manage Cardiff City right now.

Could have done with the VAR decision when it wasn’t quite so academic

He doesn't score or assist much either.

Colwill has played part in 53 games for Cardiff. He has 1 assist. 1 assist in 53 and some bill him as some play maker who can unlock teams in the Tomlin sort of role.

For me he isn't and the stats back that up.

Looking for a positive, Robinson scoring a couple should give him a confidence boost.

He is 21 in April - he HAS to be better than this at his age.

    What, 30 seconds in?

We need a manager and new players quickly. Even if the manager is a temporary fix.

After Colwills substitution today I worry about what Whitehead and co will put out on the pitch on Saturday.

Also we've scored 5 goals in 3 matches - free-scoring by our standards.

    Exactly this.

People seem to talk like he's some 17 year old starlet who is about to hit form and start ripping it up in the Championship.

Just to show the gulf in class Callum Robinson has 5 assists in 16 games.
There is one player out of the two I'd be playing in the number 10 role and building a team around for the coming seasons and it isn't Colwill.

I wouldn't get rid of Nelson

Only one of those has played regularly?

We can play more than one creative player as well you know, I don't think anyone's suggesting we drop Robinson for Colwill

Earnie - Cardiff are in big trouble. Real danger of going down.

    LOL

    1. They are different positions

    2. When Robinson was Colwills age he had an unsuccessful loan spell at Bristol City

    3. To compare a 27 year old senior pro with a 20 year old just breaking through is utterly laughable

I honestly cant believe Colwill is being slated after the performance of id say at least 7 other starters. Alnwick Nelson did ok. Ojo had a couple of decent moments. The rest were terrible.

I'm not sure whose fault that is. If he isn't fit he isn't fit.

When he does play though he doesn't look head and shoulder above the rest of the squad as Robinson does. The stats more than back this up.

    Nobody is slating him.

I don't see the hype that's all. Some people see a future star. I think at 21, if he is that good, he should be producing more. I just see a potentially solid Championship player.
I don't think he is anywhere near the standard of Robinson if we are picking a number 10 to build the team around.
