Trouble is, any manager taking over in those circumstances has literally nothing to lose

We definitely won't run this club as it should be and establish it in the Premier League.

I think we will. Things are getting desperate. I wouldn't be surprised to see a new manager at least two new players.

Thing is, if we bring in 1 or 2 average players in the next week, any new manager is going to have to work a miracle with what's here. Not giving a new manager at the very least a week to get a couple of players in is going to put many potential managers off.

If they came in immediately they'd have their work cut out.

Are we reaping what we sow?

Managers talk. If Tan interferes then you can be almost certain it is common knowledge.

We are also very trigger happy at the same time.

Maybe our potential manager pool is decreasing more and more with every passing managerial balls up.

The way I see it, the strikers will arrive, but not the manager.
This is why - here are Vinnie's choices, if he wants to avoid relegation:

    1. Hire a new manager, and bring in a couple of new faces.
    2. Leave the current manager in place, but still bring in those new faces.
    3. Do nothing

Bearing in mind that he can't really be seen to be doing nothing (hopefully), my bet is that we'll see a couple of new faces this week - probably strikers. And by that I mean players who are nominally forwards, but who don't turn out for their side very often, and haven't scored in a while. And hopefully, they'll score the goals we need to stay up - mission accomplished, and without a new manager.

So, in a nutshell, it's cheaper to borrow a couple of strikers for four or five months, than to bring in a new manager, right?

    That's a big gamble.

A gamble that’s guaranteed to fail eventually and, to use the word again, good luck with getting a couple of strikers on a cheap loan that will guarantee goals at Championship level- if they do exist, there are going to be more attractive options than us for them to choose from.
