What's the Duchess of Delhi down the Bay like? I've heard good things about it from a couple of people. I once wandered in there worse for wear once and thought "Oh, the Eli Jenkins has had a makeover" 🤣

The Purple Poppadom is fantastic but is essentially Indian fine dining. Given the choice of the others in and around Cowbridge Road I would probably pick The Star of Wales. They've always being consistent and have a great menu that doesn't just serve traditional British Indian restaurant dishes. The Star also serve their baltis in a balti dish, or at least they used to. That is something of a dying art. However I've never found a restaurant in Cardiff that captures the taste of balti quite like it is in Birmingham. The Indo Cymru has always been tasty if not adventurous with their menu and would be my next choice.

Sorry, cant agree. Was in there last week and found it ok. But its usually hit and miss for me. One week lovely,the next shit. Prefer the one on the corner near it, Red Chilli or whatevever its called. Never had a bad meal in there.
