Man City. Same formation tonight as Sunday.

    3241

    No wing backs

Effectively 6 midfielders and a striker.

    Interesting.

    Pep always got balls.
Easy to have balls when you have a billion-dollar squad though.
I'd love to see that guy tested in a championship relegation battle with a squad like Blackpool's.

Players also have to be intelligent enough to understand what's being asked of them.

It's not just money (it helps)

Lesser managers try and fail in lower leagues with tactics that aren't too bad, it's just the players aren't able to implement what's being asked.

    Peps style won't suit Blackpool.

I find it a bit of a boring point to keep dragging up tbh

Pep started and Barca B didn't he? Ancelotti at Reggiana Klopp at Mainz?
They've all managed lesser players with less money.

Look how many managers have thrown money around at Man Utd and they’ve still been a shit show (possibly until this one). Money doesn’t make you the best manager. Money did get them the best manager though

9 minutes into the game and I am already hurling abuse at the TV. Players dropping to the floor for no reason, diving, cheating, simulating - call it what you will. When are they going to stamp this out? A simulation committee meeting weekly to review, fine and ban offenders.
And the commentators saying they have to go to ground.

1-1, brave, but correct, penalty decision.

I like the fact the ref has.mafe a call there. Too much leaving it to VAR to bail them out.

Nice of Ederson to point to Saka where to hit it as well

Never a penalty, both players are in the air, Arsenal player gets his shot in cleared off the line

Maybe he'll think twice now. We all know what they're doing. Get away with it too often. Be in control of yourself..

It was a natural coming together, no foul, keeper made himself big jumping in the air

Arsenal crowd a bit lively tonight, have they hired rent-a-mob? Very unlike them, usually quite reserved.

Because he's in the air, not in control of himself. That's why they come together.

Keeper looks at him the whole time as well. He knew exactly what he was doing.

If Sabri had refused I’d have taken Pep down here.

Nah wouldn’t touch him, whitehead would’ve been the best man If Sabri said no

Very true Sludge, I had to have a quiet minute to myself today for doubting the signing of Wickham over Haaland.
