This may have come up at some point recently (and no doubt one for Eric if not) but what is the city’s lowest league goal total in a season? Somewhat unsurprisingly, wondering if we’re near it or on track to beat it this season.

Some seasons entailed fewer games than others, of course.

Don't know our lowest but 1st time in the Premier League we scored 35 ish(?) and as Blue Genie said, fewer games in that season.

I posted something about this on here a couple of months ago, but I can’t remember all of the results know. I think our lowest scoring in a forty plus games season was in another relegation year - we scored thirty six in a forty two game season in74/75. We scored thirty two and thirty four goals respectively from thirty eight games in our two Premier League matches.

With ten games left we have scored twenty seven goals, so we’re scoring 0.75 of a goal per game, so we’re on corse to beat thirty two and, maybe, thirty four, but in terms of goals per game it’s looking like our worst ever season.

We absolutely need to find a genuine striker for next season if we stay up as we will struggle again if we don't
