Paul Parry had an estate agents in Llandaff North a few years back.

Years ago, after he left Cardiff and was playing for Bath City, Paul Bodin had a part time job collecting insurance premiums door-to-door. I only know this as I opened the door to him once at my parents house.

Mike Tiddy ran a post office in Helston, Cornwall, I bought some postcards from him and had a good chat about the city when on a family holiday in the late 70s, he gave me a programme from a Cardiff - Swansea Town game in the 50s. Nice guy.

I think Stuart Pearce still worked as a self employed electrician, in his early days at Nottingham Forest.

If you listen to Mark Crossley, Pearce used to have an advert in the Forest programme, for his company, which I think his brother used to run. Cloughie actually gave him an iron to repair for his wife.
Also, Peter Lorimer used to run a B&B in Leeds.

John Charles had a sports shop in Rhiwbina. Gavin Henson runs a pub somewhere aswell.

Good skip round the back, I had loads from there slightly damaged goods, I had a few footballs, rugby ball and various shirts, the best was a Palace shirt it was brilliant.

Never any Cardiff shirts though!

Also not a sporting hero but I dealt with Wisdom Sports in Haywards Heath . Nick was the son of Norman Wisdom , looked like him but didn't like it mentioned .

And have eaten in Shimla Pinks Indian in Brum and Solihull , part owned at one time by Darius Vassell , also a few other locations like Leicester.
